Regular pruning is beneficial for Soapwort to maintain its appearance and manage its vigorous spread. Deadhead spent flowers promptly to encourage continuous blooming throughout the summer and to prevent unwanted self-seeding, which can make it invasive. After the main flowering period, typically in late summer, cut back the entire plant by about one-third. This helps to rejuvenate the foliage, maintain a compact shape, and control its overall size and spread within the garden.

Easily propagated by division in spring or autumn. Cuttings can also be taken in late spring or early summer. It readily self-seeds, so allow some flowers to go to seed if natural spread is desired.
