These flowers are typically funnel-shaped, measuring about 3 to 4 centimeters in diameter, and are usually white or pale pink, with numerous petals and stamens. The flowers emerge from areoles near the apex of the stems. Following successful pollination, the plant develops fruits, which are typically globose to ovoid, about 2 to 3 centimeters in diameter, and are dark purple to black when ripe.
